The aforementioned Garnier Fructis, a couple of coupons for Splenda (that I will buy sweetner packs with), and a coupon for a box of Progresso Chicken Broth (if I can find the silly things!)

All of these were purchased at Homeland, in the space of several transactions. I try to space out my visits over several days, so that I'm not buying all the remaining stock. I have coupons for almost all these items, making them pretty darn close to free.AngelKitty4OUhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04609165284120107151noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5968113098718344854.post-39918947033895415612008-11-05T22:24:00.000-08:002008-11-05T22:29:02.133-08:00Homeland Deals! So, Homeland is having a BOGO sale this week. I was able to get some things free!

Ronzoni Bistro were BOGO, for $1.89 each. I had a $1 coupon, so that made it free!
Bertolli sauce was $1.89 each. I had a $.60 coupon, so I paid 69 cents for some awesome pasta sauce!
Best of all is Garnier Fructis. It is also BOGO, at $1.89. I have several $1 off coupons, so that makes it free!

Something I should explain: Homeland will double coupons up to a dollar. Also, you don't have to buy two items to take advantage of a BOGO. Each item will ring up at half off.AngelKitty4OUhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04609165284120107151noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5968113098718344854.post-56447586714783662242008-11-02T21:39:00.000-08:002008-11-02T21:40:38.059-08:00Frugal IdeaDon't toss all those glass jars (you know, the kind that jelly and stuff like that come in). Instead, recycle them into food containers. I use mine to store things like salt, pasta, oatmeal, etc.AngelKitty4OUhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04609165284120107151noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5968113098718344854.post-17494360945374243612008-10-25T08:41:00.000-07:002008-10-25T08:43:08.249-07:00GoodwillOur local Goodwill store has Dollar Tag Day on Sundays. On Sundays, clothes with a certain colored tag (eg. yellow, green) are just $.99! Last week I found a cute pair of capris and a dressy jacket. You never know! This is also a great way to find kids clothes (if you have kids!)AngelKitty4OUhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04609165284120107151noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5968113098718344854.post-64968414355349605142008-10-18T14:03:00.000-07:002008-10-18T14:07:58.378-07:00Good Finds!1.) For one thing, I found my coupon binder. :-) Whew!

2.) Payless Shoes is having their BOGO sale. I found two pairs of black skid-proof work shoes in my size. Regular price was $24.95 EACH, on sale for $10! So I got two pairs for $15! I should be good for work shoes for awhile.

3.) I have a recliner! My neighbor left it outside with a "FREE" sign on it. I got rid of my couch (it was too big for my tiny apartment anyway), and left it out on my front lawn. (Pay it forward, I say.) So if anyone wants it, TAKE IT!AngelKitty4OUhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04609165284120107151noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5968113098718344854.post-73759657452463247362008-10-16T21:54:00.000-07:002008-10-16T21:55:34.982-07:00Yuck...Well, I lost my coupon organizer. :-( I had a bunch of coupons in it, too! I still have the inserts from last week's paper, and also my ECBs and RRs, so it's not a total loss. But still.AngelKitty4OUhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04609165284120107151noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5968113098718344854.post-9536224855111654092008-10-12T10:33:00.001-07:002008-10-12T10:42:29.833-07:00Today's Savings!!!!!Today I made trips to CVS, Walgreens, Homeland and Target! My original price was $10.78 for both....FINAL PRICE (including tax) was $1.56!

Walgreens:
Bought 3 Robutussin....spent $12.99 and got $10 in RRs back

Homeland:
Got 2 Glade Oil Warmers....had a BOGO coupon so got both for $5.86 and got $8 back in Catalinas

Target:
Got 3 Crystal Farms cheese sticks for $.45 each....had a $1 coupon...final price on three was $.46!! The lady did say that they "meant" the bigger size, but I stated that the coupon said ANY! (Hmmmm....maybe they should get more specific when they make these coupons! Nah...I like my near-free cheese!)

Soooo.....I spent $20.86 and got $18 back in Catalinas!! Not bad!!!!!AngelKitty4OUhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04609165284120107151noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5968113098718344854.post-51113961662321745312008-10-12T08:29:00.001-07:002008-10-12T08:40:34.663-07:00About MeThis is not my first effort at a blog, but I thought I would post some of the good deals I find, my shopping trips and what have you.

Let me start by saying this: I am poor. Not extremely so, by most standards (I don't qualify for any state or federal aid), but I am feeling the pinch right now. I work at a fast-food restaurant and am fortunate that the owner gives me plenty of hours so I can make my bills. I make less than $20,000 a year and have a $430/month car payment. I drove the same car for 4 years, but it finally gave up the ghost a couple of months ago, thus forcing me to buy a new car. I also have some credit card bills from my "spendy" days, that I am paying $100/month on. I am fortunate in that I live in an inexpensive place.

All of which goes to say, I have to be extremely savvy on how I spend my money. I started clipping and using coupons a couple of years ago, when I first lost my nice sit-down job with benefits. I faced going from a comfortable $1500/month income to making around $800/month. (Fortunately, it didn't turn out being QUITE that bad!) But I REALLY started tracking my spending at that point. I'm looking forward to my next tax refund so that I can buy a new printer for my computer! (Read: INTERNET COUPONS) I shop at CVS and Walgreens quite a bit. I also love Homeland and their double coupons! There are lots of freebies and cheapies to be had, if you just take the time to look!AngelKitty4OUhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04609165284120107151noreply@blogger.com0
