I found a complete set of the Lord of the Rings books (including The Hobbit) for just $1!!! Not bad, huh?

Well, I finally got a computer printer! Then I found out that I have to buy a USB cable...sigh. Well, I got one, and I had to get a new mouse. The old one was no longer hacking it. Which basically leaves me with only the monitor and the speakers from my old set-up.

What $11.38 Bought Me

7 boxes Chex Cereal

5 bottles Garnier Fructis shampoo

1 bottle Garnier Fructis hairspray

1 bottle Palmolive Dishwashing Liquid

1 bottle Glaucau water (1 liter)

4 bottles St. Ives body wash

1 package Ronzoni Pasta

1 box Progresso Broth

3 QuickPacks Splenda

1 jar Bertolli Pasta Sauce

1 package Ronzoni Bistro

2 Revlon Nail Clippers

1 can Muir Glen Organic Tomato Sauce

1 bag Doritos

1 pouch Hungry Jack potatoes

2 boxes Nestle Hot Cocoa

Soooo....I have $8.62 left of last week's grocery allowance, plus $20 for this week! Not bad!

More Homeland Stuff!

Tonight I got:

3 boxes of Chex Cereal (there was a peelie on the box for $3 off 3 boxes)
One more bottle Garnier Fructis shampoo
3 Quick Packs of Splenda
1 box Progresso broth

I spent a total of $2.36! Soooooo....that brings my grand total this week to $3.76 on groceries! I got pasta, hot chocolate, pasta sauce, TONS of shampoo, tortilla chips, chicken broth....I love being a bargain shopper!

What $1.40 Will Buy

Okay, so technically I spent $5.40, since I used my last $4 catalina...but still.

*2 boxes Nestle Hot Cocoa
*1 pouch Betty Crocker potatoes
*1 bag Doritos
*3 bottles Garnier Fructis shampoo (still have one more coupon!)
*1 jar Bertolli pasta sauce
*1 package Ronzoni Bistro dinner
*1 box Ronzoni Smart Taste pasta

PLUS...I still have coupons for more stuff. The aforementioned Garnier Fructis, a couple of coupons for Splenda (that I will buy sweetner packs with), and a coupon for a box of Progresso Chicken Broth (if I can find the silly things!)

All of these were purchased at Homeland, in the space of several transactions. I try to space out my visits over several days, so that I'm not buying all the remaining stock. I have coupons for almost all these items, making them pretty darn close to free.

Homeland Deals!

So, Homeland is having a BOGO sale this week. I was able to get some things free!

Ronzoni Bistro were BOGO, for $1.89 each. I had a $1 coupon, so that made it free!
Bertolli sauce was $1.89 each. I had a $.60 coupon, so I paid 69 cents for some awesome pasta sauce!
Best of all is Garnier Fructis. It is also BOGO, at $1.89. I have several $1 off coupons, so that makes it free!

Something I should explain: Homeland will double coupons up to a dollar. Also, you don't have to buy two items to take advantage of a BOGO. Each item will ring up at half off.
